Patches
Patches is a domestic rabbit that was hopping around in a neighbor's backyard during August, Sept., and Oct. 2009. In Nov. 2009, Patches was captured by a nice lady named Becky, and then she came to live with us. No one could locate Patches' owners, although many attempts were made. Patches stays in the bath tub where there is ample room to move around. Patches has a litter box especially made for rabbits (unlike the cat's litter box, which uses cat-specific litter), and gets plenty of fresh vegetables. An apple slice now and then is one of Patches' favorites! Carrots with tops are a delicious dessert after she eats her apple slice! Parsely, brussels spouts, kale (in tiny amounts occasionally), celery leaves, broccoli (occasionally), green not red collards, and dill are also yummy treats. Beet tops didn't make the cut, nor did alfalfa sprouts. Patches had an eye infection but now she is OK. She also had tape worms, and she's very thankful that we got rid of those as well! Patches is shy to many people, but loves snuggling and talking to Ann, who spends time making friends with Patches daily.
Patches also likes to be called Patchy-Patch, Your Patchness, and Buns.
