Chudleigh passed away quietly the late afternoon of Friday, March 5, 2010. She had not been eating and was labored in her breathing. Gentle and compassionate, dear Chudleigh was loved and held close as she moved on in peace. She never barked (unless food was involved!) and wouldn't have hurt a flea. So tender and so respectful. Chudleigh was a dear, dear soul. She will be greatly missed.

(This is true; it is also true for other veggies as well!

When I first wrote about Twister, I forgot to mention - he is blind. So, it was really amazing that he got around so well and learned the doggie door, routine, etc. so quickly. Now Twister (who has risen in the ranks and is no longer worthy of being called Cletis, especially after hours of teasing, poor soul) is very capable and able to demand almost whatever he wants around here! (Like insisting on sleeping upstairs in the humans' bed!) Twister is a champion at twisting around your legs and squeezing out the door to run up the stairs from the basement to the second floor and find the "big bed." That's OK - spoiled dogs (as long as they are not out of control) are fun! He has a strong personality and a lot of character! You go Twister! We love you! Twister, Ellyn, Sawyer and Katie are all blind - but none of them know it. Twister likes to sleep late - it is hard to wake him up in the morning. He moans and groans and always says "just 10 more minutes, please? do I have to get up?" He's funny!
